This is a finished colour preparation for a large scale work of an Angel restricted to flight by a shackle secured to the ground. She is to represent the acceptance of official narratives over the possibilities of creative thinking. 
Oil over egg tempera on traditional gesso primed canvas glued to panel. Presented in a black, parcel gilt, replica, distressed and aged, medieval cassetta frame.
